Saturday, July 27th, Clifford Etienne was was given his first draw in his bout against seasoned pro Francois "The White Buffalo" Botha.  Etienne started the first few rounds tentatively, but later began putting tremendous pressure on Lewis in the first few rounds by thrown vicious left hooks to the body and pinning him to the ropes.

The Black Rhino showed excellent movement throughout the fight, while easily absorbing the hardest shots that Botha had to offer.  Etienne was only slightly shaken after being knocked down by Botha in the fifth and sixth rounds, but rallied back with a barrage of punches at the close of the eighth round.  Without the ref calling the round to a halt, The Rhino knocked Botha to the canvas where he had to be lifted up to return to his corner.  Etienne threw a storm of punches that nearly dropped Botha, and until the 10th and final round the Rhino continued to throw excellent combinations.  Despite rough-house tactics, Botha was no longer able to hurt the Rhino, and the Buffalo was force to evade Etienne's brutal attacks.  During the last two rounds almost the entire New Orleans Arena fightgoers were on their feet, and the shouts of "Etienne, Etienne" almost drowned out all other sound.  The fight ended in a draw although it appeared that The Rhino was pushed to the canvas in one round and lost a point as it was counted a knockdown.
